Credit Card Feature
There are several Credit Card features that you can use, including:
Full Payment is the basic feature of Credit Card payment methods bearing the Visa, Mastercard, JCB, and American Express logos. The regular sale means the Customer uses a Credit Card as a source of funds. The bill will cut the Customer's Credit Card limit and will bill in full according to the Customer's Credit Card billing cycle.
If the Customer uses a Debit Card, the balance will deduct from the Customer's Debit Card balance in the full amount. Merchants will receive payment funds according to the NICEPAY Settlement cycle.
Installment is a Credit Card feature that provides installment services to your Customers with several installment tenor options. Merchants do not need to collect Customer installments and continue to receive funds in full according to the NICEPAY Settlement cycle. The Installment feature is available for payment methods using Credit Cards bearing Visa, Mastercard, JCB, and Amex logos.
Recurring or what is also known as a subscription is a recurring payment that bills cardholders for a particular time. This feature can use for cardholders who have Debit or Credit Card types.
Pre-Authorization & Capture is a Credit Card feature that allows you to confirm in advance the fund's amount transacted by your Customers (pre-authorization). Once authorized, the funds from your Customer are guaranteed to be ready to be deducted. Then the funds will be held until the authorization process expires. If the authorization has expired, the guaranteed funds will be considered void.
Void is a type of transaction that isn't completed in the process. The void can occur if the cardholder asks to cancel the transactions before the Settlement process occurs or if the Merchant does not process the capture until the expiration date. Funds from transactions considered void will be fully returned to the cardholder by the Bank.
To avoid these voids, you are required to proceed with the capture process or confirm that the funds are following the amount billed. After the capture process is complete, the funds will send to your Bank account.
This process occurs automatically at the Payment Gateway, where requests sent by Merchant Payment Gateways are used to complete transactions that were previously authorized. Here, NICEPAY makes it easy for Merchants by providing an API that can use to activate the Pre-Authorization & Capture process in the Merchant's payment process.
Credit Cards at NICEPAY are also already equipped with international standard security features, namely 3D Secure 2.0 (3Ds 2.0) or also known as EMV (Europepay, Mastercard, Visa) on Visa, Mastercard, JCB, and AMEX cards.
3Ds 2.0 is the latest Credit Card security standard version of 3Ds 1.0 which allows cardholders to obtain identity verification in the form of an OTP (One Time Password) to a registered cell phone number during the payment process. It is done to prevent attempts at Credit Card theft and fraudulent acts when transacting with Credit Cards.
Thus you don't need to worry anymore about the issue of fraud or crime under the guise of a Credit Card because the payment method at NICEPAY already meets international standards such as 3Ds 2.0 and is equipped with PCI DSS Level 1.
NICEPAY also provides a tokenization feature that allows your Customers to make transactions without having to fill in card information and personal information apart from the CVV code at checkout.
This feature is very useful for your loyal Customers who have already shopped with you to reduce their checkout time where they aren't required to fill in card information repeatedly during each checkout process. That way your Customers will feel comfortable to continue shopping with you.
