Settlement process in VA is different and depends on the chosen integration model. There are 2 types of integration models to performs VA Settlement, such as Aggregator and Facilitator.

VA Settlement on Facilitator model will settle from Bank (as a Facilitator) to Merchant's Bank account.

VA Settlement on Aggregator model will credit NICEPAY's Bank account (as an Aggregator), then NICEPAY will settle the transaction process into Merchant's Bank account.



Transactions via the VA method can't cancel like payment methods commonly. To perform cancellation on a VA transaction, your need to make the VA number to be expired. So, the VA number will no longer be active and can't use to perform transactions anymore.

There are 2 scenarios that able to make your transaction failed when performing VA payment process, which are:

When the VA number already expired, but Bank still receives the money from your Customer, the amount of the funds will give back to you as Merchant. Then, this issue will complete between you and your Customer. There are no changes in the status of the transaction, which is still unpaid. Commonly, these things happen when NICEPAY performs VA data reconciliation from the Bank.

The transaction has been paid and recorded by the NICEPAY system, the Bank system, and your side as a Merchant. However, all of a sudden Bank abort the transaction because there is an error within the system or a timeout happens. So, the amount that has been paid will settle to your Customer, and the transaction's status that was already paid will change to reversal. This scenario happens if only NICEPAY receives notification from Bank about the reversal of things within the transaction.
