Paylater FAQ
What if you want to transact with Paylater but don't have an account with a Paylater Partner that works with NICEPAY?
Customers must create an account first on the used Paylater Partner application. Because after proceeding with the checkout process, Customers will redirect to the Paylater Partner's application to complete the transaction.
What if you don't have enough limits to proceed with the transactions with Paylater Partners?
- If you have a bill, the Customer must pay off the previous bill on the Paylater Partner first, so that he can make transactions again with sufficient limits.
- If you don't have a bill, then the Customer must submit an additional limit to the relevant Paylater Partner before making a transaction.
Why can transactions using Paylater fails?
- Paylater limit is not sufficient to complete the transaction.
- The provider's signal is interrupted while making a transaction.
- Not supported by the Issuer network.
- Transaction rejected from Paylater Partner.
How do Merchants check transactions that have been successfully paid with Paylater?
Merchants can view transaction history within a certain period through the Merchant Back Office at:
- Transaction Data menu to check all transaction data, or
- Fail Transaction menu to check the failed transaction data.
Does payment with Paylater have a refund process at the Merchant Back Office?
The NICEPAY Merchant Back Office doesn't provide a refund process for payments with Paylater. Customers can carry out the refund process by contacting the Merchant or the relevant Partner to carry out the refund process.
Why hasn't the Customer received a refund?
The NICEPAY refund service time follows the service time that has been determined by the Partner (Paylater Transaction Settlement). If the Customer still hasn't received a refund after the decided time, please contact the relevant Partner.
Why can the refund process fail?
- Refund submission rejects by the Partner.
- Refund submission doesn't appropriate with the Merchant's terms.
What is meant by Settlement?
Settlement is the process of recording a transaction & transferring transaction funds from a financial institution (Bank or NICEPAY) to an individual or company that refers to as a Merchant.

How do I cancel the Paylater payment method?
- For Akulaku Partners, you can use the NICEPAY Cancel API.
- For Kredivo and Indodana Partners, you can cancel via the Partner's dashboard.
Can Paylater transactions be expired?
Yes, Paylater transactions can be set as expired by using the payValidDt and payValidTm parameters.
