GPN Business Model & Fee
Business Model
GPN exists as an interbank card payment solution. The GPN payment method eases the burden of Customer administration costs when transacting using a different Bank card from the Acquiring and Issuing EDC machines.
GPN implementation focuses on 3 main points, which are:
- Creating a payment system ecosystem that is interconnected, interoperable, and can proceed with the transaction processes that include authorization, clearing, and domestic settlement.
- Improving Consumer protection, through securing Customer transaction data in every transaction.
- Ensure the availability and integrity of national payment system transaction data to support effective monetary policy transmission, efficient intermediation, and financial system resilience.
Besides, the implementation of GPN in the payment system in Indonesia can reduce the cost of procuring EDC machines for Acquiring, Issuing, and Merchant parties, also reduce transactions through foreign parties (Visa and Mastercard).
